What are the steps in deploying an email campaign?
4 simple steps to prepare an email campaign.

Upload your opt-in subscriber list
Create and modify your mailer (using a template or your own HTML)
Test your mailer by sending it to a seed list
If you’re satisfied with the test, choose your list and click Send or schedule the sending for a later time. If you’re not satisfied with the test, repeat steps b and c.

What do I do if I don't know how to write HTML?
Our templates were created so you can send out professional-looking emails without HTML experience. Since the HTML has already been constructed for you all you need to do is add your graphics and copy!

If I'm sending HTML, do I also need to format a text version?
When you create your email with our template or your own HTML, the text version is extracted from the HTML with a single click. You can make changes to this text version and save it. While sending, both HTML and text versions are combined within the mailer and sent. When emails reach the subscribers’ inbox, the default format (HTML/Text) that is supported by their email software is automatically shown.

How big should the graphics be for my email or my sign up form?
It would be preferred if your logo was no larger than 600 pixels wide x 100 pixels tall. Your offer item graphics should not be larger than 150 pixels wide x 150 pixels tall. Please make sure that your ALL of your graphics are in .jpg or .gif format, and it's best if the background colors are either white or transparent.

How does juvlon manage unsubscribes?
Any mailer sent through juvlon contains a mandatory Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the mailer. Upon clicking this link, subscribers view a list of all your email marketing campaigns. They may choose to unsubscribe to a few or all campaigns or they may even choose to subscribe to campaigns that they aren’t subscribed-to. When subscribers have made their decision, they receive a confirmation email with a link to confirm their change in subscription. Upon clicking this link, their subscription changes are committed immediately. The confirmation email expires in 7 days which means if a subscriber does not click on the confirmation link within 7 days of submitting the change in subscription, no change is made to his/her subscription. Can I extract the email marketing reports?
Yes you can extract all reports (views. clicks, referrals, opt-outs, bounces etc.) into an existing list or a new list or as a CSV file.

What is juvlon? Why should I use it?

How can I use juvlon?
juvlon is available both - as a web-based software and as an installable software. The web-based software does not need any installation on your computer, simply register online and use. How do I create an account on juvlon?
Register yourself for a free trial with juvlon. You will receive an activation email at your registered email address. Click on the activation link in the email and your account will be activated. In case you do not receive the activation email, please add support@juvlon.com into your address book and then re-send the activation email (after you login). You may contact juvlon Support for assistance.

I have an existing CRM. Can juvlon integrate with it?
This really depends on the kind of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software you are using currently. juvlon can be integrated with any CRM using a web service (XML). Most CRM packages provide the same facility to integrate with third party software. Please contact juvlon Support for details of integrating juvlon with your CRM or any other system.

Does juvlon have an anti-spam policy and a privacy policy?
Yes, and very strict ones. Click to learn more about our anti-spam policy and our privacy policy. We do not allow unsolicited commercial email or spam to be sent from our servers. We will never provide/sell any personal information collected through our website or application to any third party.

General Email Marketing Questions

Which is better-buying an email marketing list, renting one or creating one myself?
It is always better to create an email marketing list than buying one. In rented or bought lists, there are chances of finding addresses included without permission.

What will happen if an individual wants to be removed from my mailing list?
In such cases, you should be ready to offer this person the possibility to unsubscribe. Also you are required to remove this particular person's email address from your list. Always place an unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email you send them.

Is it possible to create an attractive mailer in juvlon without any special knowledge of HTML?
juvlon has several ready-to-use designer templates for creating mailers. Simply pick one and use the in-built editor in juvlon to add your logo, images and text to your mailer. Can I use animation in my email?
One way to use animation is by inserting small animated GIF in your templates. Other applications such as movie files or Flash are usually blocked by ISPs, corporate networks and email software.

What is referral marketing? Referral marketing is the digital form of mouth to mouth publicity. Referrals attract more result than spam, because they come from a known source. Referral marketing not only helps in getting more potential leads but also helps in growing your list.

Are attachments good for email marketing?
Emails with attachments are much more likely to get blocked at more ISPs because it is a potential virus threat. Hence, its not a best practice to use attachments as part of your email marketing initiative.

How to make the subject line content more attractive for recipient?
Personalizing the message is a good way to emphasize your message in the recipient’s Inbox. Also be attentive the “from” line lists your company, brand or newsletter name. That will catch your reader’s eye too. Also you can announce the offer right in the subject line. To keep recipient’s attention on your message make sure the offer’s key elements appear in the first 50 or 60 characters

How can I avoid my mails getting into the junk folder?
Most email software use spam filters for distinguishing opt-in mail from spam mail. Spam detection software are specially built to track words like free, offer, adult etc. Using these words in your subject line will result in your mail being marked as spam or junk. Also, try not to use attachments in your mailers. Many ISPs will mark your message with attachment(s) as spam and several corporate mail networks will not even allow your attachment email to reach their members. The content and HTML code of your mailer are also significant factors in evaluating your email as legit.
